I recently realized that people are still finding and reading this blog, and that there are no pictures of the finished product! Here are some pictures, along with some production stills from "Hitler's Stealth Fighter", which still airs occasionally on the NatGeo Channel. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
I have a page describing all of my contributions to the film on my website.

The pictures speak for themselves. There is much more detail that could be done, but I'm running out of time!
It's been a great experience making these components and thinking about the guys that made the originals and what that must have been like. Amazing that for such an advanced aircraft, how crude some of the work was. Hard not to see it through 21st century eyes I suppose.

Worked on the throttle/fuel cock controls this weekend.
The geometry and movement are per the original, straight off the production drawings. They're not connected to anything though :-)
The forward handles are the throttles. The rear two are the "Brandhahn" (fuel cock) controls which control the flow of fuel to the turbojets. The rear position was "Zu" (off), and the two stepped positions (mid, forward) fed fuel from the two different fuel tanks.
